MEASURING MY ANGER

If anger was water, I will be reaching a serious boiling point by now with steam escaping from even the tightest lid. I cannot put a cap on it.This emotion I feel, its not foreign but I hardly let it take over me but today it did. Its something I have bottled up for too long. People saying whatever to me and me smiling and saying "God forgive you" people acting all weird around me and me saying "Oh that is just how he/she behaves. I am used to it" taking rubbish, nonsense at best, but today, I reached my boiling point. I am steaming, boiling, seething.... All bcos of a little nonsense.I have been displaying my anger, screaming my rage, not caring who gets on my angry page. I know I am just ranting here, but somehow it is helping me with my anger. Writing this I mean. It is helping me latch on to a little control... But the words are running out too fast...

Traffic Offenders

This can only happen on a sunday in Lagos. Where are the traffic officials?

BAD DAY FOR ENGINE BLOCK THIEF

Despite the biting economic situation of the country, most Nigerians still frown upon the habit of stealing and hence the pepertrator is most times subjected to jungle justice, which in my opinion is a crude way of dealing with an erring citizen. 19 year old Biodun was not a lucky thief when on sunday he was caught trying to sell an engine block he had stolen from the workshop he was training at which is situated about 14kilometers from Ahmadiyya bus stop, the suburb of Lagos State.
He was caught trying to sell the spare part for the sum of 1000 naira to a mallam who was seriously haggling the price. Some residents smelt foul play seeing that Biodun was a stranger in their community. They swooped down on him and he later confessed that the part was stolen because he needed to eat. This announcement did not bring about pity for the boy though, he was seriously beaten and punished by being asked to carry the engine block as punishment for stealing

Beautiful scenes from olumo rock... really nice ;)

i have always loved sight seeing. it is a passion i cannot do without. i love to explore, see new thngs and meet new people. one of the places i have always wanted to go to is olumo rock. Not much in the refreshment department, but the scenery makes up for a lot. The climb up is made less adventurous however with the use of the stairs and elevators that has been ecently nstalled in the tourist centre.

I love the sleepy town of Abeokuta. Its a peaceful environment. A good place to get away from it all.

DOG - MANIA!

The world is becoming one big "love" country. Like i said about two years ago.. love has been so bastardised, this is no news, its in the prophecies of the bible.. end time, we all know it is just a sign of things to come, but how does a man reconcile himself with sleeping with a dog? at this point, i would have to use the broken english.. pardon me..."babes don finish for ground?" even me sef tire.
A man was caught sleeping with a dog just this week. His wife had begged him to desist from the act, a male dog in the neighbourhood had barked its protest of the act, yet the man, ever ready to show his sexual prowess to a dog, closed his ears to all the protests. The dog however is always happy to receive the man, tail wagging, voice yapping and legs dancing... my question remains.."why the guy no arrange babe?" This world is turning to something else o.... i just wonder how dey even do the thing sef... just wondering o. it is well

Counter Rally?

Loyalty to a person, an idea, a thing or a cause is really commendable, especially in the times we live in, but loyalty to the extent of counter rallying in a bid to keep an ailing man as president of a country is not only a waste of time, but also insensitivity on the part of these so - called loyalists, who do not put the person's safety and well being first as well as the safety of the people affected.

It is a known fact that an absent president poses great security risks for the people of that country, leaving them vulnerable to foreign attacks.. in this case, we have been bombarded with verbal attacks that has not helped the people of the country any, especially Nigerians in diaspora.

It is also a waste of time and energy which could be well spent in other pressing matters like redeeming the image of the country and winning the sympathy of Nigerians for the President. There is so much explaining to do...too many things have been left unsaid. Nigerians have the right to be informed. I therefore urge the good counter - rally people of Nigeria to exhaudt their energy in the right course of action that would be both beneficial to Nigerians and the president.

ITS NOT COMING TO ME!

So i promised to be faithful to my blog, i dont understand it but i just dont feel like writing much these days, i am just hibernating. I start, i stop, i start, i delete, i never get a piece finished. i miss the thrill of writing, the satistfaction of putting something down in descriptive words the way i truly believe it to be. Call me cynical... i have just lost faith in a lot of things this world has to offer.. in human relationships, people generally... and i dont think it is normal.
My friend, Aisha rushed up to me one day sobbing and said,
"Janet! you wont believe it! I just caught Dayo pants down with a girl" i just looked at her, nodded and said "Yes, yes.. are u really surprised?" this is a guy who in all intents seems to be one of the most responsible guys i have met on the face of the earth and i dont seem surprised at this?.. yeah.. something is wrong somewhere.
what keeps bugging me however is why people are deceptive.. why they have to live double lives....look over their shoulder everytime like they have stolen something and then keep going with their deceptive ways. lying, cheating.... hurting people. It doesnt matter to them who they do it to, they forget the law of karma... it never goes wrong....
okay, enough of my rants, i need to get down to serious business. Church was fun today.. kind of.. i missed the whole preaching.. i was really late but hung out a little with my friends after church... was nice.
